Share the public URL
Anyone with the URL can open a published game in a browser. This page explains how to copy and send the public URL, and how it differs from the project share URL, which is easy to confuse with the game URL. For how to publish, see Publish your game.
Two kinds of URL

When you send someone the game to play, send the game public URL. This URL shows the primary build (PRIMARY), so if you republish and change the primary build, the new version opens at the same URL (Republish and the primary build).
Do it in the editor
- In the left toolbar, click Publish / Download.
- In the Primary build field at the top of the BUILDS window, click the copy icon to the right of the URL.
- Send it by messenger or email.
- Before sending, open the URL in an incognito window (not signed in) to confirm that it opens for other people too. If Private Project is on in the project settings, people who are not signed in get
403This project is private.(2026-10-29, checked by requesting without sign-in credentials). It opens when you turn the setting off (Who can see it in Publish your game).
Open on a phone
You can open the same URL in a phone browser. However, games controlled with a keyboard can't be played on a phone. To make the game playable on phones, add touch input or on-screen buttons (Keyboard, mouse, and touch input, Make a button). The publish screen had no QR code. Who has access
- Anyone who knows the game public URL can open it. We haven't checked whether it appears in search results. Pending Check whether it appears in search results
- If you turn off Private Project in the project settings, people who are not signed in can open both the game public URL (
/p/) and per-build URLs (/b/). If you turn it on, both are blocked (2026-10-29, 1 run each). The Private label and the Make public menu on project cards in the project list appear to be the same setting. We haven't checked whether other people can also see the editor (the project) after you make it public.
